Feeling Inspired?
Do you dream of owning your own business
while getting the opportunity to help other women feel confident and beautiful?
Or maybe you just LOVE the LuLaRoe clothes and culture, and want to be a part of it. Whatever the motivation, choosing to make a personal business as an Independent LuLaRoe Fashion Consultant can change your life---if you put in the work. I know, because I've lived it.
Some people will tell you that becoming a LuLaRoe consultant is like having a job where you work part time, but make a full time income. But I'm not going to sugar coat it, trying to persuade you to join my team with too-good-to-be-true tales. The REAL truth is, being a LuLaRoe consultant takes WORK! A LuLaRoe business is just that---a business! If you want to make it just a hobbie, that's fine, but you're gonna get "hobbie" results. If you want to be successful in this business, you have to put in your heart and soul, and give it your ALL every day. EVERY. DAY. And it's going to take time. You won't be successful overnight. But if you keep at it, with that level of intensity, success can be yours.
Okay, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, "I thought she wanted me to join her team." Don't get me wrong, I do. I would love to share the amazingness that is being a LuLaRoe business owner with you. But I also don't want to be that consultant that lured you in with false promises, making you think it's going to be easy, because it isn't. Being a business owner rarely is. A fantastic consultant I know once said that people often confuse what is simple with what is easy. LuLaRoe is simple. You buy the clothes at wholesale, you sell them at retail. LuLaRoe is by no means easy. You have to work at it if you want to be successful! So, I want you going into this experience knowing what it takes. But don't think you're going in alone. You have me! And of course, my awesome upline. We all want you to be successful. :)
So, if you're still reading this, that means I haven't scared you off yet. ;) That also means that you think you have what it takes to be successful as a LuLaRoe business owner, and if so, I'm here to help! If you think that you want to get started as a LuLaRoe consultant, and you think that I might be the one (to be your sponsor of course lol), keep reading to find out how!

So How Do I Get Started?
So, you've decided that you want to go ahead and get started on this amazing journey that is LuLaRoe. To get started in this process, you first need to pick a sponsor. Your sponsor is basically going to be your mentor throughout your entire LuLaRoe journey, so obviously this is a very important job. You can pick any LuLaRoe consultant that you know (as long as they're accepting new team members, so make sure to ask if they're not advertising it), but you can't change your sponsor once you get started, so make sure to choose wisely. You want to find someone that you feel comfortable with and can talk to, because they're going to be your go-to when you have questions or need help with something. If you think that I might be the right person for you, you can click the button at the bottom of this page to get started on my team!
But before you head over to that application, let me tell you a bit more about the process. Once you complete that application, you'll receive some paperwork in an email that you'll need to fill out. After that is complete, you will officially be entered in the LuLaRoe queue. The queue is the name for the wait time between when you fill out the application and when you receive your onboarding call, place your initial inventory order, and become an official LuLaRoe consultant. Being in the queue is not necessarily a commitment to become a consultant. It just means that you have expressed interest, but you are in no way obligated to continue with the process. If you decide while you are waiting in the queue that you no longer want to become a consultant, you can simply tell the LuLaRoe people when they call that you are no longer interested. So, that's definitely a plus!
The average wait time in the queue used to be about 6 to 8 weeks, although due to LuLaRoe's collaboration with Disney right as I onboarded, my wait was closer to 7-10 weeks. As of this update, the LuLaRoe website currently has the wait time listed at as little as 2 weeks, although I believe that there is now trainings that you are expected to go through that were not a part of my onboarding process, so that's pretty kewl! :)
So, what to do with all that wait time? Well, you're going to have plenty to keep you busy while you get ready to launch your new business! From setting up your VIP Shopping Group and social media pages, to figuring out how you want to organize your inventory and do your shipping, there will be plenty to do, so you'll be thankful to have all that time to get ready! If you do decide to join my team, I will add you to my team's training group, where you have access to all kinds of materials designed to help get you ready to run your own LuLaRoe business, as well as a dedicated upline team ready to help you be successful every step of the way! And of course, I'm here to help you succeed too, so make sure to reach out to me if you need ANYTHING!
The last thing I want to inform you of the cost of your initial inventory. When I onboarded back in July 2017, the onboarding cost was STEEP. Like, several thousand dollars steep. And you didn't have a lot of choice in what you got. LuLaRoe had these relatively strict onboarding packages where you had to pay to get some of the stuff you really wanted, like their buttery soft leggings. Not gonna lie, it was tough on a lot of the consultants that onboarded during that time, and I really think it came back to bite them in the butt later. But as all good businesses do, LuLaRoe took an honest inventory of their less-than-stellar onboarding process, and listened to their consultants concerns. Since my onboarding time, they have completely revamped the onboarding process, including adding those trainings I mentioned earlier. But this revamp also covers their onboarding packages. Instead of spending over $3k to get started, getting stuck with a bunch of sizes and styles that just won't sell for your needs and way too much inventory for a new business owner to know what to do with, you now get a much smaller inventory (only 65 pieces compared to the almost 300 pieces I started out with), you get to pick your own styles and sizes (I think...don't quote me on that >.<), and your onboarding cost? Only $499! That's a steal compared to what I paid lol So really, this is one of the best times to get into this business! It's cheaper and easier than it's ever been!
I know the cost may still be a little high, but I will tell you that you don't have to have the money until you get your onboarding call, so you have the entire wait time in the queue to help you find a way to fund it. There are lots of options for funding your initial onboarding package, such as 0% interest credit cards and business loans. I actually funded my initial inventory with a personal loan from my husband's and my 401k. There're lots of good things about this option. There's no credit check (which is a great option for people who don't have the best credit), and because of that, you can get the money quickly. The loan term can be up to 5 years, and the payments come out of my husband's paycheck, so we don't have to worry about them. So, that was a great option for me, but there are lot of options, and you'll want to find one that works best for your situation. And remember, just because the wait time is 6-8 weeks, or whatever it is at the time you sign up, doesn't necessarily mean you have to be ready at that time. I was really struggling to find funding when I first signed up, and I told myself that if I couldn't find funding in the first wait time, I would just jump to the end of the line, and go through the queue again, giving myself more time to find funding and prepare my business. So if this is something you really want to do, you will find a way. :)
So, anyways, I think that's just about everything to get started. :) If you have any questions about the process or anything really, feel free to reach out to me! :) Even if you decide that LuLaRoe may not be for you, or that you'd like someone else to be your sponsor, I'd be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have!
